Lin Wang

Lin Wang is an expert journalist and young scholar on China’s foreign policy, overseas investment and the Belt and Road Initiative. She is currently a PhD student in the School of Public Policy and Management at Tsinghua University. She is studying China’s external economic relations and related governance issues, such as dispute resolution and arbitration. Ms. Wang worked as a journalist reporting on China’s foreign policy and overseas investments in a top-tier Chinese financial newspaper from 2012 to 2019. She is also a Schwarzman Scholar (Class of 2019). She was a research fellow at the CBN Research Institute and the BRI 100 Research Institute.

Ms. Wang has published a book, Wang Lin’s Top Interviews with Global Leaders on Belt and Road (May 2017, the Commercial Press). She reported on dozens of political and economic events, including the G20 Hangzhou Summit, the Belt and Road Summit, the Forum of China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) and many bilateral state visits. She has also conducted field research in India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Uganda, Cameroon, South Africa, Cambodia, Vietnam and Singapore.
