Charles Hua

Charles Hua is a senior policy advisor (contractor) at the U.S. Department of Energy Loan Programs Office and a research affiliate at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. Previously, Mr. Hua worked on building electrification policy with Rewiring America. Born and raised in Madison, Wisconsin, he organized a campaign that successfully petitioned his school district to become the largest in the U.S. at the time with a 100 percent renewable energy commitment. For his work, Mr. Hua has been recognized by the White House as a 2018 U.S. Presidential Scholar, by the Aspen Institute as a Future Climate Leader, and as an Energy News Network 40 Under 40 honoree. He holds an AB in statistics and mathematics from Harvard College.
