Avonda Fogan
Director/Chief Strategy Officer, Black China Caucus
Avonda Fogan is the Director and the Chief Strategy Officer of the Black China Caucus. Ms. Fogan began her career focusing on U.S. China policy and worked at firms focusing on building an understanding of China and advising people and businesses’ strategies to engage with China. Because of the intersection of her interests in China’s global influence and DEI, Ms. Fogan assisted with the founding of The Black China Caucus which convenes and enhances the presence of Black China professionals in the discourse on China.
Ms. Fogan is a proud Washington, DC native and lives in Southeast DC with her partner and two doodles. She is a 2022 Aspen Ideas Festival Fellow and mentor for the Youth International Leadership Initiative.
Ms. Fogan holds a bachelor’s degree in Chinese language and literature and International Affairs from The George Washington University.
