Zhixing Zhang is responsible for delivering and developing Control Risks’ analytical products and consulting in the areas of political, security and operational risks pertaining to China and Northeast Asia. Her specialization includes China’s foreign policy and socio-political development, the Belt and Road Initiative, maritime conflicts in the South and East China Seas and political and economic development in Northeast Asia and Indochina states. Prior to joining Control Risks, Ms. Zhang was a senior Asia-Pacific analyst for Stratfor, a U.S.-based geopolitical consultancy, where she led the firm’s strategic analysis and forecasts on China and Southeast Asia.
Ms. Zhang has appeared on CNBC, Forbes, Financial Times and numerous international media outlets and publications. She received two masters’ degrees in public policy from The University of Texas at Austin and Renmin University, as well as a BA in political science from Peking University.
