Wayne Silby
Founding Chair, Calvert Funds (retired)
Wayne Silby is a pioneer in giving a conscience to investments and co-founded several organizations with that theme, including being the founding chair of the $20 billion Calvert Funds in Washington D.C., Calvert Impact Capital ($500 million), ImpactAssets ($1 billion), and Syntao, Ltd., a Beijing-based corporate social responsibility consulting firm. He co-founded several other organizations, including Social Venture Network (Circle) and Calvert Social Venture Capital (the first social impact venture fund) and has served on the boards of Business Executives for National Security (BENS), the American Association of Higher Education, Americas Insurance Co., and the EastWest Institute.
He is also focused on his recent venture, ZenFlo, a Beijing-based mindfulness center which uses various technology tools to foster easier access to the benefits of meditation and related personal wellbeing development, with an aspiration to franchise this offering around China. Mr. Silby is a graduate of The University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Finance and Georgetown Law Center.
