The 2007 Bush China Conference brought together over 600 participants to discuss critical issues in the U.S.-China relationship, including trade, education and energy. Headlined by President George H. W. BUSH, other prominent U.S. speakers included five members of President George W. BUSH’s Cabinet. U.S. Secretary of Treasury Henry PAULSON delivered the keynote address on the U.S.-China Strategic Economic Dialogue. In conjunction with the conference, U.S. Senators Kay Bailey HUTCHISON (TX-R) and John CORNYN (TX-R) and U.S. Representative Chet EDWARDS (TX-D) co-hosted a reception, with attendees including U.S. Representatives Louie GHOMERT (TX-R), Rubén HINOJOSA (TX-D), Doug LAMBORN (CO-R), Shelia Jackson LEE (TX-D), Nita LOWEY (NY-D), Ted POE (TX-R), F. James SENSENBRENNER (WI-R) and Adrian SMITH (NE-R).
