In this video, Bush China Foundation Founder and Chairman Neil Bush and President and CEO David Firestein discuss if the U.S.-China relationship of competitive interdependence can allow deepening exchange of businesses and trade barriers to be reduced.

Further, with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, and U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, having exchanged views on Afghanistan over the phone, and the U.S. Climate Envoy, John Kerry, announcing to re-visit China to advance climate collaboration, can the two countries rebuild diplomatic goodwill and make pragmatic progress on urgent global issues?

The Center for China and Globalization (CCG) hosted a fireside chat with Neil Bush, former US President, George H. W. Bush’s third child, and Founder and Chairman of the George H. W. Bush Foundation for U.S.–China Relations, and David Firestein, an experienced diplomat and CEO and President of the Foundation. The contributions made by President George H.W. Bush (1989-1993) to anchoring modern U.S.-China relations and his legacies carried on by the Bush China Foundation proved that bilateral cooperation can be achieved as its namesake advocated for.
