Yingru LiFellowASSOCIATE PROFESSOR | DEPARTMENT OF SOCIOLOGY, UNIVERSITY OF CENTRAL FLORIDA Yingru Li is an Associate Professor in the Department of Sociology at the University of Central Florida. She is a scholar broadly trained in economic geography with expertise in Geographical Information Systems (GIS), spatial statistics, social inequalities, and health disparities. Her research focuses on using GIS, statistics, and mixed methods to study social inequalities and health disparities in the United States and China.   Dr. Li has published in peer-reviewed journals such as Applied Geography, Child: Care, Health, and Development, Eurasian Geography and Economics, Science of Total Environment, etc. She currently teaches Geographic Information Systems and Statistics classes. She has previously taught Economic Geography, Global Geography, and Social Power and Inequality. Dr. Li serves on the editorial board of Applied Geography and Frontiers in Sustainable Cities. Dr. Li received her master’s degree in Geographic Information Systems at the University of Cincinnati and obtained her Ph.D. degree in Geography at the University of Utah.
