Bush China Foundation Director of Business Programs and Corporate Affairs, Robbin Goodman, addressed over 40 businesses, farmers and ranchers at a workshop organized by the Arkansas Association of Asian Businesses (AAAB) on how Arkansas businesses can navigate the U.S.-China “trade war.” Board of Advisors member Yang Luo-Branch is the president of the AAAB. Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson opened the session in a video address, followed by presentations by the US-China Business Council, University of Arkansas, Arkansas Economic Development Commission and others. Mr. Goodman spoke on the trade war’s effect on various U.S. industries, including international perspectives from a Chinese exporter and a U.S. importer of consumer goods, with a specific focus on the tariffs’ repercussions on Arkansas’ agricultural industry.
