
Morgan Jones
Director, Community Engagement & Partnerships, Avenues: The World School
Morgan Jones is a strategic, global partnerships executive skilled in relationship-building, community and client engagement and intergovernmental relations. He is currently the director of community engagement & partnerships at Avenues: The World School at their New York Campus, helping build key relationships between the school and the greater New York City community. Mr. Jones has more than 10 years of experience in local government and non-profit roles, including the New York City Economic Development Corporation, the US-China Strong Foundation, NYU Langone Medical Center and the New York City Office of the Mayor under Mayors Michael R. Bloomberg and Bill de Blasio.
Mr. Jones also lived in China for six years of work and study, spending three of those years as a Chinese-language radio show host in Shanghai. He obtained his MBA from Cornell University’s Johnson Graduate School of Management and his B.A. in Chinese language and literature from Middlebury College, and he holds a graduate certificate from the Hopkins-Nanjing Center through Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS). Mr. Jones lives in his hometown of New York City with his wife Zoe and daughter Esmé.
